The worst read

The Grauniad is running a 'worst read' talkboard with the first nomination being 'Wuthering Heights'. Here's my contribution. No doubt it'll turn you off completely, Myfanwy
How about 'Jane Eyre' while the Brontes are under the microscope?

But seriously, how about 'The Celestine Prophecy'?
Reasons:
1. It is turgid
2. It is nonsense.
3. It is always recommended by nutcases (OK, people who believe in ghosts, astrology, and new age rubbish on very little evidence).
And this stuff sells...
Ah well, I had to get down to zero readers somehow.
