Tony Benn's Sadam interview

I watched Tony Benn's interview with Sadam Hussein with some amusement. One observation: Sadam would have found it more taxing to have been given a massage with a velvet glove. Having received a denial that Iraq has any weapons of mass destruction, our Mr Benn did not follow up with the natural question about a WMD programme. I am a great believer in tempting people into outright lies. As today's Guardian points out: "He [Tony Benn] immatures with age’.

David Aaronovitch's transcript of the interview is far more revealing.
