The Gibraltar referendum

The referendum held this week by the people of Gibraltar about staying British produced the following result
17,900 in favour of staying British
187 in favour of becoming Spanish
based on a 90% turnout. When you compare this with the results of the previous referendum, when only 44 people were in favour of the Spanish connection, it looks as though there's recently been a big swing away from the British option.

When you further look at the figures, in the light of the 100% endorsement that Saddam Hussein got in a notably more difficult election, with a 100% turnout, one has to fear for the fate of 'The Rock' [no relation to P. Burrell - Ed].

What on earth do these silly Gibraltarians want? Can't they be more decisive?
