The power of nonsense

In an interesting Guardian article today, Sophie Parkin uses the following quote:
"For impressionable children, it can be damaging and frightening to know there is a bigger power that can be used against them," warns psychologist Marissa Peers. "Since we are what we believe and kids can be suggestible, responsible parents shouldn't encourage it..."
Is she talking about one or all of the conventional religions, I wonder...

No, of course not, the article's about withcraft and Halloween. When nonsense passes beyond entertainment into belief, one has to be worried.
